The National School Feeding Program (PNAE) is one of the largest and longest-running school feeding policies in the world, recognized for its role in strengthening family farming, promoting short supply chains, and building more sustainable and inclusive food systems. This study presents an analysis of PNAE purchase data for the year 2022, conducted by the Jataí Institute using the Accountability Management System (SiGPC/FNDE).
The results are available in an interactive data dashboard and are detailed in a Policy Brief, which systematizes the main findings, highlights structural challenges related to the availability, standardization, and transparency of public data, and points to ways to improve the policy, including the role that digital platforms such as Contrata+Brasil can play in this process.
